Make the Most of Your MBA in Lilly's Corporate MBA Program

We’re transforming MBA graduates into future leaders who want to make a difference in the lives of others. Lilly offers a robust Corporate MBA Program (cMBA) to accelerate onboarding and development of top MBA graduates. We are seeking highly motivated and driven individuals who exhibit integrity, excellence, and respect for people.

After joining Lilly as part of the Corporate MBA Program, employees are invited to participate in the Lilly Corporate MBA Circle (LCMC). This global program is a two-year development and engagement pathway for cohorts of employees hired into the Corporate MBA Program within the same year. It is designed to engage, develop, and motivate highly talented and innovative MBA graduates. As part of this program, Corporate MBA hires will have the opportunity to engage with senior leadership and attend two different development programs either in Indianapolis Headquarters or at an affiliate site to learn more about our business and build their network.

There is both a U.S. cMBA Program and International cMBA Program.
U.S. cMBA Program
We are seeking leaders who have passion for discovery, learning and making a difference in people’s lives. Pharmaceutical industry expertise is not required to join Lilly.

Candidate criteria includes:
  • Three to five years of work experience prior to business school
  • Deep expertise in business fundamentals
  • Demonstrated leadership

While the internship program is Lilly’s main MBA talent pipeline, we may recruit for full-time opportunities as well based on business needs. We recruit directly from top MBA programs and diversity conferences.

After joining Lilly, MBA graduates take on challenging role assignments within a given function.
A focus on matching your career goals and interests with our business needs allows us to create a specific career path for you, with the ultimate goal of crafting the right set of experiences to develop you.

International cMBA Program
International markets represent significant growth opportunities for Lilly and the entire industry. One key element of our strategy is to grow our international business and as a result, we need talented individuals from highly ranked business schools to be part of the Lilly team.

Lilly is seeking MBA candidates who are committed to an initial assignment in their country of origin where they speak the local language, which provides the foundational platform to learn the industry and understand our customers (patients, payers, and providers).

Candidate criteria includes:
  • Three to five years of work experience prior to business school
  • Deep expertise in business fundamentals
  • Demonstrated leadership

While the internship program is Lilly International’s main MBA talent pipeline, we do recruit occasionally for full-time opportunities, based on business needs, directly from top MBA programs and conferences.

Internship Program
We’re confident Lilly’s internship program will help you appreciate the positive impact effective leadership can have on the customers and patients we serve. Our internships identify potential leaders, provide an immersive experience in our Team Lilly culture and an exposure to potential career paths.

The people, projects, and activities provide a wonderful landscape of learning and platform for strengthening your leadership skills. In addition to your project assignment, you’ll be invited to participate in a variety of events to meet other interns, network with Lilly colleagues, and interact with senior leadership.

  • In the U.S., internships are typically 12-weeks in duration during the summer between your first and second year of business school and take place at our corporate headquarters or US Affiliate (both in Indianapolis, IN).
  • Internationally, internships typically range from 8-12 weeks in duration sometime between May and August. Internships take place at the affiliate you have applied to, meaning the affiliate location where you have permanent work authorization and can speak the local language fluently.

All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their internship performance.
