Engineering
As a member of the Lilly engineering team, you'll be an essential part of the high-quality production of life-changing medicines and devices for patients.
Internship Duration
  • 12-week internship
Sample projects 
  • Creating a manufacturing process model
  • Designing solutions for key large-scale manufacturing processes
  • Analyzing site-wide equipment reliability issues and developing sustainable strategies for solving these issues
  • Exploring new equipment technologies and developing feasibility analyses for the implementation of the technologies
Minimum Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS Engineering program (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer)
  • Expected graduation August 2028
Manufacturing Sciences
As a Manufacturing Sciences hire, your role will be essential in ensuring the high-quality production of life-changing medicines and devices for patients.
Internship Duration
  •  12-week internship
Sample projects 
  • Actively run a technical improvement agenda to drive process improvement
  • Monitor and appropriately react to established statistically-based metrics in real-time to assess process variability and capability
  • Work within cross-functional teams to implement TSMS or Quality objectives and deliver on business plan and quality objectives
Minimum Requirements
  • Enrolled in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or related field)
  • Expected graduation August 2028
Health & Safety
The Health & Safety team contributes to providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Internship Duration
  •  12-week internship
Sample projects
  • Personal air sampling in laboratory and manufacturing processes
  • Noise monitoring and mapping in manufacturing suites and maintenance shops
  • Qualitative exposure assessments in research laboratories
Minimum Requirements
  • Enrolled in a BS or MS program in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Health Physics, or a Health/Safety-related field 
  • Expected graduation August 2028
Supply Chain
The Supply Chain team is essential in ensuring the reliable and timely delivery of life-changing medicines and devices to patients around the world. 
Internship Duration
  •  12-week internship
Sample projects
  • Operating specific supply chain business processes at a global level
  • Conducting supply chain processes within a manufacturing network
  • Serving as an integrator of material master data between a manufacturing site, the business unit and the sales and marketing affiliates
Minimum Requirements
  • Enrolled in a BS or MS program in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field  
  • Expected graduation August 2028
