This position will be a key contributor to the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting (eCAR) team and will assist with and be responsible for technical accounting and financial controls. This position requires interaction with other eCAR team members, Lilly CFR, Business Development and CFIB, Financial Planning and Analysis, GBS Accounting, Global Treasury, Corporate Tax, Corporate Manufacturing, and external auditors.
Responsibilities include:
Assist affiliates with technical accounting inquiries and issues
Advise on accounting and reporting implications of business transactions
Advise on SEC rules and regulations
Assist with due diligence for potential business combinations and other transactions
Outline accounting treatment for business combinations and other transactions
Assist affiliates with implementation of internal controls over financial reporting (SOx)
Provide guidance to affiliates on control design and execution
Develop remediation plans for control deficiencies
Manage affiliate compliance with the Elanco SOx program
3 years’ experience in Finance function or public accounting practice, with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS technical accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA, Chartered Accountant, or working towards CPA
Flexibility during peak closing periods. Overtime may be required on an as-needed basis. Minimal travel.

Fluency in English
Working knowledge and experience with SAP GA module and Business Objects
Strong self-management skills and high learning agility
Proven ability to produce high quality work

Ability to perform well under pressure
Solid problem solving skills and ability to be innovative and creative
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
