In order to reinforce the Medical department of the Swiss affiliate, located in Vernier (Geneva), we are looking for a
MEDICAL ADVISOR / MEDICAL LIAISON
(French & Italian parts of Switzerland)
This role comprises both external focus through Thought Leader engagement and internal focus through strategic and operational work within the therapeutic area team.
In terms of customer-facing deliverables, you will establish and maintain relationships, understand the needs and align projects with important Rheumatology thought leaders, scientific experts and the medical community, mainly in the French and Italian speaking parts of Switzerland. In terms of therapeutic area deliverables, as the medical expert you will work closely together with Marketing, Sales and other departments on the life cycle and business plans where you will develop and implement pre- and post-launch medical strategies and tactics.
You will organize and lead medical consultancy boards, scientific meetings and symposia, brief speakers and provide scientific training to the sales force. You are responsible for presenting, disseminating and discussing scientific data and product profiles and adapting global medical materials to local needs. You will collaborate with the clinical operations team and locally provide some support for clinical studies. With your scientific expertise, you will contribute to reimbursement dossiers and the assessment of reimbursement questions on rheumatology drugs.50415BR
Holder of a higher university degree in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD), you have gained first experience in the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. as medical science liaison (MSL) and you have a background in Immunology. You are fluent in French and English with a good command of German (verbal and written).
You like to work cross-functionally and have a strong team spirit, as well as the ability to influence others and create a positive working environment to achieve common goals. You have excellent written and oral communications skills and you can adapt your message according to the audience. You are customer-focused and like to present and discuss data with external and internal audiences.
You are flexible and like to travel – mainly within Switzerland – to meet customers or attend meetings (ca. 3 days/week).
You have excellent organizational and computer skills.
