The Enterprise Information Platforms organization (EIP) delivers enterprise cloud capabilities for data management, content management, data analytics, data artificial intelligence, data machine learning, and a great deal more.


Responsibilities:

This role is targeted to someone who is excited to learn, motivated to drive change, excels are partnering with peers and leadership across IDS.  You will lead the development and implementation of the EIP information security architecture and roadmaps, while providing technical guidance to the EIP teams to address the current and emerging information security risks and compliance requirements for Lilly. 

You will be responsible for guiding the EIP teams in their application of modern security and privacy practices and working closely with the GIS Security Advisor, EIP management, the InfoSec org, Quality Assurance, EIP architects, and the subject matter experts across IDS. 

The key responsibilities for the role are as follows:

  • Serve as an information security expert and trusted advisor to EIP and functional IDS teams leveraging EIP technologies
  • Accountable for working with the EIP System Custodians to ensure our platforms and applications are secure and complaint.
  • Review EIP security architectures, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements
  • Research and stay versed in current and emerging security threats, emerging security technologies
  • Create and drive a security roadmap for the EIP technologies and processes
  • Guide EIP in interpretation and application of security standards, processes and tools to new platforms or applications
  • Partner with Information Security architects and the Risk Management team regarding new security controls, security audits, and security risk acceptances
  • Create, lead, educate, and mentor a Security Lead Team of EIP team members
  • Act as Privacy Lead for EIP, interfacing with Privacy and guiding/educating EIP on Privacy related topics
  • Monitors security-related CAPAs, escalate and lead where needed, tracks remediation
  • Conducts internal security-related assessments for the EIP products
  • Participate in security-related deviations and Information Security Proactive Threat Management (PTM) investigations and identifies potential solutions
  • Assist EIP teams with security audits and inspections
  • Reviews and contributes content for the EIP security documents to ensure thoroughness
  • Provide security upskilling options to EIP management and staff
  • Drive continual security process improvements


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence peers and leadership, and achieve results through others
  • Willingness to explore new technologies and ideas
  • Strong planning, communication, and organization skills
  • Experience translating complex, ambiguous assignments into actionable plans and tasks, while keeping end user experience in mind and ensuring those tasks are repeatable and sustainable
  • BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field (IT Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, etc.) or equivalent work experience
  • One or more of the following certifications: CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC or willingness to obtain within the 1st year
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Azure, Active Directory, database management systems, business intelligence tools, CI/CD pipelines, and data movement / data transformation tools
  • Work Experience:
    • Experience securing on-premise, cloud, and Software-as-a-Service applications, or infrastructure platforms.
    • 3+ years of information security, application, or database related experience
    • 3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (NIST 800, ISO27000, COBIT, etc.)
