Responsibilities:

The mission of engineering is to apply sound engineering principles to safely build, qualify, maintain and continuously improve the processes, facilities and equipment needed to carry out the manufacturing mission. In support of this mission, this position will provide engineering expertise to implement integration technologies across the Indianapolis Parenteral manufacturing site that result in productivity improvements, safety improvements, and variability reduction.

Key Objectives:

  • Provide domain expertise for the Lilly Global Parenteral Program solution within manufacturing to our seven process teams
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams within manufacturing, quality and other business units to develop applications for integration technologies and support the effective deployments at our IPM site.
  • Be a champion for safety activities and a role model for diversity, ethics, and compliance.
  • Project Delivery is a key component of this role

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or masters in a science or engineering
  • 5 years of experience

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Control system programming and integration (PLC, HMI, MES, etc.) experience
  • Proficiency in Database use, SQL execution and use of data in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a regulated GMP environment
  • Proficiency in planning and leading teams to complete highly complex tasks and/or tasks that are highly multi-functional or cross-site in nature.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to customers, business partners, and staff including good oral, written, and visual presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply solutions to different situations by understanding customer needs and applying strong problem solving skills.
  • Experienced with capital projects.
  • Strong experience managing initiatives and projects
  • Thorough knowledge/experience with robotics industry standards and applicable regulations.

Additional Information

  • No significant travel required
  • Will require occasional work in a manufacturing environment
  • Safety equipment and / or gowning may be required
