In this role, you will modernize our US marketing technologies to support our new commercial model and handle the integration and delivery of digital marketing capabilities and platforms for the US marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the Lilly USA IT, Consumer Campaign Solution Delivery Lead include working with marketing teams, architecture teams and IT colleagues to conceive, design, develop and deliver technology infrastructure and marketing platforms to orchestrate cross-channel, customer campaigns and deliver an unparalleled online customer experience.

Additional responsibilities include influencing campaign design, customer journey & interaction points, legal and regulatory processes to ensure compliance while driving agility and value within digital channels.

Specific responsibilities include:

Digital Marketing Capability Development and Delivery

  • Lead the technical campaign development and data integration efforts on marketing campaign solution delivery projects
  • Stay abreast of external trends to influence Lilly USA’s digital marketing strategy and platforms and develop proofs of concept to drive digital marketing innovation
  • Ensure delivery and support of reliable digital marketing solutions and platforms in support of launches and ongoing business
  • Represent Lilly USA Digital in governance discussions and decisions, partnering closely with Lilly USA business teams and IT Architecture teams as appropriate to establish business cases for change aligned with Lilly USA’s strategic initiatives
  • Influence global counterparts on US needs that impact global platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva, etc)
  • Actively craft Lilly policies and procedures governing digital channels to deliver ongoing compliance with a minimum of bureaucracy

Leadership, Development and Coaching, and Team Operations

  • Provide technical oversight and leadership to development staff
  • Coach and develop capability team members to understand the basis and complexities of campaign management
  • Build, Deliver, Own and Manage an 18 month roadmap for brand base campaign rollout
  • Foster open communication and teamwork
  • Promote and effectively build a diverse and inclusive workplace

  • Manage budget (spend / actuals / forecasts) for campaign capabilities within Lilly USA

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, information technology, or related field
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts (focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud), practices and platforms
  • Familiarity with the technical architecture associated with multi-channel marketing
  • Deep understanding of modern IT concepts – social, mobility, analytics, cloud
  • Demonstrated strategic influence
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and self-manage
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening skills

  • Prior experience working with or supporting the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, computer information system or related fields
  • Focus on solution delivery and solution/platform integration
