The Workforce Services Business Process Architect delivers transformational business process designs in a partnership with the HR Workforce Services community as part of the Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation program. This includes identifying, planning and leading medium to large initiatives within the GS IT – HR area specific to business process supporting Organization Management, Personnel Administration, External Worker Management, Employee Relations and Reporting & Analytics. This role includes positioning programs effectively with key business partners and governance teams, managing supplier relationships and aligning key Lilly resources across the organization to accomplish key program milestones. In addition, this role will assist in managing our Global Business Services (GBS) IT portfolio including identifying opportunities to rationalize our portfolio and to optimize delivery of common solutions. This position reports to the Advisor, HCM Implementation.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:
  • Partners with HR-Workforce Services to define future state business processes and supporting technologies to achieve Human Resources short and long term business goals
  • Identifies opportunities to rationalize/consolidate the global application portfolio supporting Workforce Services including Organization Management, Personnel Administration, External Worker Management, Employee Relations and Reporting & Analytics
  • Leads business planning efforts, establishes priorities, defines necessary resources and funding models
  • Positions programs and projects for success by leading supplier selection and assessment, initial project planning, defining quality and validation strategies
  • Develops appropriate external professional relationships to promote value realization and standardized solutions.
  • Provide Global Business Process Leadership for key GS HR IT program initiatives
  • Drive achievement of program milestones and business outcomes
  • Leverage key supplier relationships to successfully deliver IT solutions and services.
  • Ensure solutions and services meet regulatory demands while applying risk based decision making

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience implementing any ERP Technology in Human Resources
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
  • Workday implementation Experience huge plus
  • Experience with Business Planning huge plus
  • Multiple years of experience integrating business requirements with application solutions across multi-functional processes and systems with demonstrated excellence across the dimensions of quality, speed and value
  • Project/program execution experience
  • Experience partnering with global IT organizations
  • Multiple years of experience developing IT strategies, plans and business cases
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business partners at all levels in the development of business and IT strategies
  • Experience rapidly translating complex, ambiguous concepts into actionable plans
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, without authority, global leadership (IT and non-IT) to create and drive strategic initiatives across business platforms to accelerate Lilly’s competitive advantage.
  • US & OUS travel could be required
