Position Detailed Description: 

Technology continues to transform every aspect of society, including healthcare. Lilly sees digital as an extension of our medicines, not just a marketing tactic. We, as consumers, have come to expect digital experiences to augment and support our experiences with medicines – especially to help reduce the burden of coping and managing through chronic disease for us, our loved ones and health care providers. Hence, Lilly’s Digital Health team is committed to exploring how the next generation therapeutic ecosystems, connected solutions, and data analytics can transform the customer (patients, health care providers and payers) experience, demonstrate value, and most importantly – improve patient outcomes.

As part of our commitment to improving patient outcomes, Customer Support Programs (CSP) play a critical solution for our brands to help our patients to a good start and to engage them during their Lilly treatment period to support effective product use and to support them in their overall disease management. Current CSP solutions help patients gain access to certain Lilly medicines by working with payers, connecting patients to vital resources, leading the development of patient centric technology, and providing the market field-based reimbursement support. This role will have Agile Program Lead responsibilities for the Digital Health CSP Ecosystem.  



The Agile Program Lead is responsible for bringing diverse groups and roles together to ensure the successful delivery of innovative product releases for our customers. The Agile Program Lead plays an integral role in coordinating across Digital Health, Business Units and supporting functional groups to define and deliver product and/or platform releases with agility. This includes tight coordination with Product Owners, Business Leads, Design Leads, Execution Leads, Technical Leads and other roles. The Agile Program Lead activities include ensuring appropriate governance, story mapping, sprint mapping, facilitating product &/or scrum of scrum meetings & budget tracking. In addition, the Agile Program Lead will help coach and evolve Digital Health’s agile practices.

  • Responsible for working with Digital Health Team, Business Units and supporting functional groups to define, execute and deliver assigned Product and/or Platform.
  • Responsible for release planning, progress monitoring and delivery tracking for assigned Product and/or Platform.
  • Continued learning, team coaching and evolution of Digital Health’s Agile methodology/frameworks.
  • Assist communications with Digital Health and Business stakeholders for assigned Product and/or Platform.
  • Assist with assigned Product and/or Platform budget coordination, including annual business plan, strategic planning, and monthly forecasting.
  • Responsible for engaging with assigned portfolio’s Digital Health’s delivery teams and business unit’s initiative team’s governance.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Product and/or Platform goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of science or arts
  • 3+ years of managing programs / initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile practices (Agile, LeSS, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • 1+ years coordinating external suppliers &/or partners with internal teams to support product delivery

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience with business planning and budget coordination activities.
  • Experience Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) product development or working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with Agile coaching, ceremonies, and tools (e.g. Jira, confluence, etc.).
  • Ability to build strong cross functional relationships. Effective teamwork, interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills; ability to collaborate and build relationships with peers and business partners.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and team building skills (e.g., effective coaching and feedback)
  • Ability to work with large cross-functional teams, project teams and innovation projects in a virtual manner.
  • Self-management and organizational skills. Able to manage a diverse workload, set personal priorities and adjust as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, without direct authority to ensure alignment to common methods and approaches necessary to achieving required outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk management and decision skills. Able to anticipate and recognize problems, diagnose root causes, solve unique and complex problems.
