Lilly USA IT Solution & Insights is responsible for providing data platforms and analytics solutions for the US Affiliate. This role will primarily be responsible for technical integration for major solution delivery efforts. This position will report to the IT manager primarily responsible for analytics solution delivery and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage data and analytics operations support services for the US Affiliate
  • Network with internal IT teams to ensure the analytics infrastructure components are professionally managed and monitored (life-cycle and change management)
  • Stay abreast of tools and technologies to influence IT strategy so that it provides best usage opportunities for business
  • Partner with capabilities teams to understand the appropriate menu of technologies and tools, and leverage for solution delivery
  • Ensure solution adherence to appropriate quality, compliance, and security standards
  • Ensure successful transition of applications from solution delivery teams to the operations team through planning and knowledge transfer
  • Facilitate the transition from legacy data warehouse platform (Netezza) to new platform (PureData)
  • Achieve technical proficiency in the core tools used by the solution services team (e.g. Netezza, Tableau, SQL)
  • Develop expertise of processes and data used by business functions within the US Affiliate
  • Understand the key elements of solutions’ related data and business usage
  • Develop technical requirements and solution designs
  • Responsible for the system performance and user experience of solutions
  • Partner with and influence vendor resources on solution development to ensure understanding of data and technical direction for solutions
  • Responsible for system up-time, system monitoring, incident response, and problem resolution
  • Establish and manage operations release schedules that integrate with the solution development program
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT solution delivery or operations
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts
  • Familiar with the technical architecture associated with data warehousing and analytic environments
  • Expertise with SQL, ETL and BI tools
  • Demonstrated strategic influence
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills
  • Solid background in Information Technology with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology areas
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, teamwork and people development
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively with IT and business stakeholders
  • Experience in applying quality and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Broad technical skills
  • ITIL Certification
  • Agile or Dev Ops experience
  • Expertise with IT environment to be able to match business needs with available IT solutions.
  • Strong self-management and ability to work autonomously and with ambiguity
  • Experience with Netezza/PureData, Tableau, Microsoft Suite, Statistical Analysis tools
  • Skilled in usability and interface design
