Data Warehouse Analyst

Lilly Global Shared Services in Business Unit Information & Digital Solutions (IDS) is responsible for driving technology innovation for the global platforms and applications which serve all our Business Unit affiliates across the globe. You will primarily focus on data integration and analytic solution delivery. This position will report to the Information & Digital Solutions (IDS) manager primarily responsible for solution delivery and innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop data-centric solutions to be advance our business teams across all our global affiliates
  • Consult with internal business partners (i.e. global marketing, sales, and medical affairs) to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights
  • Work with data from multiple data sources to build integrated views that will drive decisions
  • Achieve technical proficiency in the core tools used by the solution services team (i.e. SQL, Tableau, AWS, Python)
  • Work in Agile Sprints with business facing project teams
  • Learn business processes and data used by business functions
  • Deliver sustainable and repeatable processes for delivery and supportability of our solutions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with and influence team members to drive solution delivery
  • Collaborate with both internal and external technical teams to understand the appropriate menu of technologies and tools, and then incorporate knowledge to improve solution delivery efforts
  • Design and build across the multiple layers for data and analytics (i.e. Ingestion, Integration, Visualization)
  • Develop proof of concepts
  • Understand the key elements of the project related data and business usage
  • Ensure design and development adheres to quality and compliance requirements
  • Responsible for the solution system performance and user experience (UX/UI)
  • Partner with vendor resources on solution development to ensure understanding of data and technical direction for solutions
  • Develop technical requirements and solution designs
  • Responsible for system testing, ensuring effective resolution of defects
  • Stay abreast of tools and technologies to deliver the best solutions to business
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate quality standards and risk-based decision-making for all delivery efforts
  • Responsible for creation and review of quality and validation deliverables
  • Responsible for managing daily operations of business applications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years ETL and/or Business Intelligence tools
  • Prior experience delivering in an Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
