Responsibilities As the Consultant- Treasury Operations, you will be a member of the Elanco Treasury team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate execution of Elanco’s global cash management and forecasting activities. Initially, this role will assist with standing up the new Treasury organization for Elanco. You will work with cross-functional teams and banking partners to implement treasury technology, develop cash forecasting capabilities and liquidity solutions, and develop management reporting. The role will report to Director, Treasury Operations.
Supports implementation and oversight of in-house bank, electronic cash transfers and controls including global bank systems, bank account set-ups, controls and bank fee management
Responsible for short and long-term cash forecasting activities so that liquidity needs are met
Supports operations of intercompany loans
Maintains accurate books and records for all treasury activity, encompassing investments, debt, financial derivatives (interest rate swaps, foreign currency forwards, equity hedges, etc.) across multiple ‘treasury specific’ entities
Assists with the selection of the new Treasury Management System (TMS) coordinating with the teams implementing the new Elanco ERP
Assists with the review of and contribution to 10-Q and 10-K financial statement and footnotes
Assists with the assessment and implementation of treasury policies and procedures (local Treasury and Global)
Provides recommendations for operational maturity that enhances efficiencies and improves controls
Minimum 3 years of corporate treasury experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven ability to learn quickly. Persistent attention to detail and a high sense of ownership and commitment
Experience working in a global treasury organization coordinating with tax and accounting on cash transactions between foreign legal entities
Experience with debt capital markets and basic understanding of foreign currency hedging fundamentals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to think ahead, plan for transactions that will occur weeks into the future
Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to influence without direct supervisory relationship
Ability to successfully complete complex projects involving multiple partners and interdependencies
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
Experience with Treasury technology such as TMS and banking portals
Experience with ERP systems
MBA and/or CPA is preferred
Certified Treasury Profession (CTP) designation is a plus
