The Elanco Animal Care Expansion division has been established to enable broader access to Elanco's innovative Animal medicine and wellness products worldwide.
Our products are distributed in multiple retail channels, including; Pet specialty stores, Online, Mass & Grocery and other channels. The US Marketing Leader for ACE has responsibility for developing and implementing the strategy of key brand(s) in the Animal Care Expansion (ACE) business and support the growth of key Rx brands in alternate sales channels in the US.
You will be responsible for providing guidance to our ACE customer marketing team by evaluating and developing retailer specific marketing activities aligned with brand strategy, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved. You will also be working closely with our Key Account Management team to develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
Work closely with colleagues to deliver operational excellence that will achieve optimal long-term performance across the Animal Care portfolio in the US
Collaborate with global marketing team and respective brand marketers to develop retailer specific US Animal Care marketing strategy
Influence key opinion leaders inside and outside the organization to ensure that effective working relationships are in place to obtain input to plans/programs and to obtain ownership to implement plans as required
Coordinate the retailer promotional planning process for the Animal Care business in the US, working with Animal Care colleagues and US marketers for implementation of brand strategy
Manage external agencies to develop clear and compelling brand strategy implementation and campaigns
Provide accurate and timely forecasts for operations planning. Ensure budgets are managed within agreed “Advertising and Promotions” budget and resources are allocated effectively.
Maintain customer relationships and communication; solicit and exchange information; encourage partnership to achieve organizational objectives.
Be fully conversant with the customer/marketplace, key dynamics and policies in addition to collecting market intelligence regarding competitor activity and local/global issues then developing the appropriate tactics to respond to varied threats or opportunities.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or business
Minimum 10 years marketing experience
5 years experience in e-commerce retail marketing with companies such as Amazon, Chewy, Jet, etc.
Minimum 5 years of people management experience

Animal Health experience in a retail environment preferred
