Role Overview. As part of the North America Analytics team, this position will support Elanco’s US commercial business with a focus on Strategic Analytics and Tableau Descriptive Analytics to drive data driven decisions and make Elanco the “Best Run Animal Health Company”. To meet role requirements, candidates must have an understanding of analytical modeling techniques and software, the animal health industry and data visualization approaches to drive insights to actions.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Owns all data mining and curation required to facilitate projects.
Creates, grows and maintains relationships with internal customer groups to facilitate data driven decisions on business critical projects. Key customer groups to consist of Finance, Marketing and Supply.
Responsibilities for providing ROI, efficiency and sales lift metrics to customer groups in a form that both drives decisions to spend and optimizes efficiency.
Provides ad hoc predictive analytic support to customers groups.
Utilizes advanced data visualization techniques at appropriate levels for each audience.
Maximizes opportunities for automation in all processes.
Supports the creation of financial business cases and provides predicted outcomes that can be measures in subsequent ROI and efficiency reviews.
Collaborates with global counterparts to share best practices
Identifies and execute on standardization and efficiency opportunities.
Supports Sales Force Effectiveness Organization by consulting on and implementing customer segmentation and targeting initiatives.
Maintains an environment open to change and innovation, recognizing needed improvements in existing tools and anticipating new technologies to deliver world class reporting and analytics.
Meets all Standard Operating Procedures and business process compliances around pricing, master data, contracts, etc. (i.e. SOX, GxP etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, or Data Science or related field.
2 years experience in statistics or related field.

Demonstrated excellence in Excel and reporting and analytical tools such as SAPBI, Tableau, R. (all not required)
Experience using predictive modelling techniques
Excellent communication, presentation and consultative skills
Advanced Degree in Data Science or related field
3 + years working in animal health pharmaceutical or related corporate industry
Familiar with applied regression analysis, specifically probit and propensity score matching methods
