The primary focus will be providing integration between the business and IT, influencing the processes, tools and operating models within the manufacturing, supply chain and quality business function. This role will focus on understanding the needs of the manufacturing, supply chain and quality business areas and translating them into technical solutions. The role will also include involvement in the implementation of the new SAP system with a primary focus on manufacturing solutions within the ERP Program. This position will report to the SAP IT Manager and may include the following responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Become knowledgeable in the SAP technology and the business processes it supports from a configuration perspective.
  • Be forward thinking with respect to technical evolutions within the SAP landscape which help improve user experience or functionality of the offering. Promote standard implementation of the ERP landscape leveraging business process improvement and innovation to drive business process optimization.
  • Lead, manage and participate in projects, understanding business impact, quantifying resources, and evaluating/recommending technical options.
  • Partner with business subject matter experts in assessing and defining IT/SAP requirements and drive the development of business cases. Ensure documentation is appropriately handled to comply with a GMP environment.
  • Interact and collaborate with global, regional and local Business Partners (Process Owners, Power Users, Business Process Knowledge Centers) as appropriate, in order to better understand the business and its priorities, and represent their requirements. Translate these requirements and priorities to IT/SAP implementation and service providers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years with SAP configuration in supply chain and/or manufacturing/quality areas
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form (in English), with proven success at delivering key messages to both management and peers across multiple business functions
  • Working with multiple IT organizations.

  • Strong understanding of quality processes in IT applying to manufacturing and distribution.
  • Supply Chain background/coursework
  • Familiarity with GMP processes/requirements
