Lilly is a global healthcare leader that unites caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We were founded more than a century ago by a man committed to creating high-quality medicines that meet real needs, and today we remain true to that mission in all our work. Across the globe, Lilly employees work to discover and bring life-changing medicines to those who need them, improve the understanding and management of disease, and give back to communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.
Embracing diversity is at the core of our long-held value of respect for people. It is the lens through which we understand and respond to the unique needs of the millions of individuals who depend on our medicines. For us, embracing diversity means understanding, respecting, and valuing differences, including but not limited to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. The greatest measure of our diversity efforts is our ability to attract and retain exceptional employees who feel comfortable in a culture that supports them being themselves.
Due to rapid expansion in our Haematology portfolio, we are delighted to go to market for a Medical Advisor, Haematology. We’re ideally on the search for a Haematologist to take this portfolio to greater heights.
We’re looking to you to nail the strategic planning in support of launch and commercialisation activities. Naturally you’ll achieve this by providing expert scientific and clinical support to all aspects of the Haematology business across Lilly’s Northern European Hub (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland).
These are some of the activities we’re looking for you to nail:

This includes supporting and leading for pre-, peri- and post launch activities. You’ll contribute to the development of medical strategies to support brand commercialisation activities by working closely with the global/International Business Unit Medical Affairs and cross-functional brand teams, Global Patient Outcomes/Real World Evidence and Pricing, Reimbursement and Access, Clinical management and other cross-functional management.
You’ll leverage your deep product/disease knowledge and educate the network of affiliate peers, so they are ready to support their respective deliverables. You’ll also offer scientific and creative input, contribute to the development, review, and approval of promotional materials for the brand team.
Clinical Research/Trial execution and support
This will have you implement global Haematology trials across all phases and develop as well as conduct local clinical trials.
Scientific data dissemination/exchange, training and education
You’ll be key in supporting the planning of symposia, advisory board meetings, and the facilitation of other meetings with HCPs.
As well as support scientific training and educational activities:
- Internal (molecule, MOA, disease state)
- External (Disease State, compound, lifecycle plan)
To be considered, you’ll have these in spades:
- Deep scientific expertise and knowledge of haematology and its treatment
- You’re a Haematologist (highly preferred)
- Previous experience and successful track record of interaction with Thought Leaders, customer-facing environments and Thought Leader engagement
- Customer and patient focused
- Understanding of the haematology and oncology customer and business,
- Possess strong planning and execution skills
- Comfortable in interpreting technical scientific/medical data/research and communicating with credibility,
- Good presentation skills
- Evidence of good teamwork in a cross-functional environment and interpersonal skills.
