Elanco is going through a phase of exciting growth and has established a strong position within the top tier of animal health companies through new products and recent acquisitions Elanco IT helps implement and support business processes across all value cycles. In this case, the Commercial (Sales & Marketing) organisation is supported through a number of global capability & regional integrator teams. The regional IT team is spread across the globe and works virtually.
The primary focus of this Elanco IT role will be to ensure that the Elanco IT capabilities and tools supporting Digital marketing are deployed, adopted and cultivated across the sales offices. This role formally reports to the Elanco IT Regional Manager, while being an integral part of the Global Commercial Digital Team.
Key Responsibilities 1. Digital BI – 80%
Partner with Marketing throughout the brand-planning cycle from creation, ensuring business needs are understood, translated into targeted digital campaigns, monitored for effectiveness and value demonstrated
Partner with affiliate marketing & third-party marketing agencies to drive the timely implementation of digital assets
Challenge status quo given timelines, effectively influencing stakeholders regarding risks, trade-offs and compromises in support
Be a Regional IT subject matter expert in Digital/Multi-Channel Engagement (MCE)
Working knowledge of digital applications and related technologies (e.g., web design, web content management, social media, etc.)
Knowledge of common analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics), SEO and PPC to support value driven decisions on digital return of investment
Solid understanding of digital and social marketing fundamentals
Proactively identify issues and implement mitigation strategies
Support customer acceptance testing
Contribute to the development and monitoring of project plans for the delivery of solutions and ensure ownership of training, rollout, and testing components
Define and follow up on detailed activity/task levels with business stakeholders and IT in order to define, execute and achieve milestones
Oversee contractor to conduct necessary validation & compliance work for digital activities
2. Geographical IT Responsibilities for BeNeNo Cluster – 20% Belgium, Netherlands, Nordics, Turkey & S.Africa
Actively engage with cluster leadership understanding their strategic priorities and opportunities related to Commercial IT capabilities
Engage with Brand teams and functional leaders on a regular basis as the point of contact for IT related initiatives. Lead all IT conversations related to commercial operations
Communicate and educate the cluster to maximize the value of available solutions both in & outside the scope of digital.
Represent the cluster IT needs and environment within the global IT conversations
Coordinate local IT initiatives. Partner with internal or external experts on delivery.
Ensure full compliance of the IT landscape within the cluster
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience).
Account Management/Business Integrator skills: Ability to build and maintain business relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to understand and build business knowledge. Communicate in business terms vs. IT
Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, and being an effective team member or business partner
Strong understanding of Quality Standards and Practices or equivalent procedures.
Digital Marketing / Technology experience
Self-starter to learning and discovery of new possibilities in Marketing technology
Experience working with third-party service providers
Persistent attention to detail and a high sense of ownership and commitment
Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual (not co-located) environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to learn quickly
